The next cleaning step is the cleaning of fringes. Fringes serve as the framework of the rugs so it is important that they are threaded together without any loose ends. We actually comb the fringes first to separate them before we do the hand washing. Combing of fringes is also done manually by hands.

They picked up the rugs from my apartment and delivered them back once the team cleaned them. Cleaning took about 2-3 weeks, but this was in the middle of the COVID pandemic, Super convenient.
